Asthma sufferers twice as likely to have other diseases, this is according to a study conducted by University of Adelaide Department of Medicine researchers based at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Australia. This is because asthma may occur with other chronic diseases — usually as common complications of asthma or diseases that often occur alongside asthma.

Some of asthma associated conditions include:

• Gastroesophageal reflux (GERD)
• Sinusitis
• Nocturnal asthma
• Allergies
